Free Hugs, Anyone?

A video on YouTube was released on September 22, 2006, and by October 31, 2006, had gained 4,731,838 views. According to the video summary, it was recorded in Sydney. In the video, the main character who is giving out hugs, (identified as "Juan Mann", a pseudonym), walks through the Pitt Street Mall holding up a sign with the words FREE HUGS written on it. Music for the video is provided by Sick Puppies, an Australian band that "Mann" met a year earlier. Shimon Moore, the lead singer of the Sick Puppies who worked at the mall, shot the footage which he later compiled into a video for the song.

Initial distrust of Juan's motivations gives way to a gradual accretion of people willing to be hugged, with other huggers (male and female) helping distribute them. After some time, security guards, then police tell them they must stop, as Mann has not obtained public liability insurance for his actions Mann and his companions then began a petition which reached 10,000 signatures. At that point, the authorities walk away, but not before being hugged by some of the participants.

I'm back

Alo....... Let me update Wah, this is the first time i'm posting in M2's blog!!! So exciting!!! I'm going back to Malaysia. Haha..... Staying in Sydney tonight. Ate "wan tan noodles" in Chinatown. Tomorrow morning going to Chinatown to see Mei Chia for breakfast!!! Huahaha.. My flight for tomorrow is 4.50pm. Pray for journey mercy yea?!!! Thanks... Cant wait to see you guys in Malaysia... *muaks*

G'day dudes and dudettes reading this right now. Wooh! Canberra's the most boring place in the world most exciting place in the world coz there's so many ppl from M2 here. Wooh! And less assignments than monash or melbourne dudes n dudettes So anyways, while doing things yesterday, i ter-thought of this great marvellous wonderful exciting beautiful get-u-going-bonkers idea: Let's hav a class trip at the end of the year! WOW!? omg so exciting. Then we can maybe go Melaka for Satay Celup. Or Penang again for great food. Or Johor for nice otak otak. Or Klang for Bak Kut Teh. Or Kuching for the best food in the world (as claimed by Barney). KUCHING!! LEt's GO KUCHING! with Air Asia, everyone can fly! wooh...

Seriously. Let's plan.

i'm back!

wOw ppl im finally back from my trip to Italy! for those of you who didn't know, during my mid-sem hols, i went to Italy la, with darling schumi. after the disappointment in australia, he needed a break and all la. so he rang me up on monday morning the day after the race, to ask me about my plans during the hols. so i told him im very free after the OCF camp la. and he suggested that we go for a holiday in italy. wah i was so shocked! finally he's able to spend some time with me lol. so we planned this and that la through the phone. ish my phone bill is so so high this month :( anyway that pic was taken just before we left Rome Fiumicino Airport. wah look at all the kepoh reporters.. it was an awesome awesome awesomest holiday. why not, being able to spend time with him means everything in the world to me hehe. haha we went to Paradise Beach on the first day. well we didnt actually go there la. just went to the top of the hill. and what a beautiful view from there. u can see from the pic, the water is so clear. regretted that we didnt go down there

and the next day we went to this to see this 'building'. i forgotten the name of the building, argh remind me to ask schumi the name of it. this was one of the many many ancient monuments we visited la. it's just very ordinary to me, dont really appreciate these stuff. but schu was so fascinated by it somehow and he took thousands of pics there gosh
schu took this pic. im somewhere in the picture. can u spot me? im in red! nah i dont think u can see me la, its too small. haha just look at the weird structure enough la hehe oh yeah so on wednesday, we had to go to san marino. it was supposed to be on thursday though, but somehow jean todt rang him up and asked him to be there earlier. sigh we were supposed to go to this great restaurant on that day. but lor.. anyway i had a good time at san marino. getting to know the circuit and all. and i got to go 1 lap around the circuit in the Safety Car. woohoo it's only for VVIPs like me! the next few days were quite boring for me. all i did was watching the drivers going round and round practicing. got to see some high-speed accidents though. it's amazing how safe F1 is these days. qualifying was fantastic. it was so tight. and the race itself was better. ahh i'll just put the pics up la
overall, it's a tiring but super uber cool trip to italy! cant wait to go there again. in september probably, during the imola race :)

Uni starts!!!

ok.. so uni start today.. but i get my monday off.. so fun.. sleep for da whole day.. kekeke..

haizhh.. i'm still in holiday mood lar.. how to study.. wan me to wake up at 7???? no thx.. so these days i miss all my breakfirst.. coz i wake up at 10 or 11 or 12.. hahaha.. then i go town to shop for snacks.. then go bak to my room and continue sleepin.. happenin life, i tell u.. hahah

hei fellow m2-ians! so here i am, back to blogging business. in case u're wondering wat teoky is up to now, well he is quite settled in melb liao. it took him days to really adjust to the new environment. up to now, he's still quite homesick. calling me everyday to talk bout home (using up the 100 mins free call), he especially misses her sis so much i dunno why. so he calls me in the morning, when im about to take shower, in the afternoon, when im far far away in my lala land, in the evening, when im having my dinner. he calls me all the time, all day long. disturbing me only ish. then while i was chatting with him 1 day i remember him getting so excited when his parents called him hehe. and only yesterday he told me he regretted going to melb and not anu. hah now u know teoky. too late too late. zhou chi kam yat ho pit tong cho.

so he went for the orientation liao. he said its kinda boring. and he also joined the bushdance, in which they had a drinking game after that. they were divided into small groups. so of course, realising he's so blur, his members elected him as the head of the group. they call it the 'chief kap'. dunno what it means. anyway, the chief kap has to represent the group in the drinking game. the other members merely cheered him only. haha so the chief kaps of every group need to drink 1 shot every 30 secs. so our poor friend here said he suffered alot. the last thing he remembered was throwing a bottle full of beer into the drain. dunno whether he's really drunk or it's his kind of usual drunk la. anyway the next morning he's on the bed liao with his pants changed!!! thank goodness he's still wearing the same pants. then he said la got 2 guys (murphy & helped him to get back to his hostel. haha maybe girls also we dunno la.

and today he went for management and accounts intro class. he said he has a funny lecturer who keeps adjusting his necktie all the time, and spits his saliva alot when he talks. then he also had his International House (the place where he stays) orientation. so they ran around the city (yeah feel free to imagine him doing that) and dropped by at hungry jacks to grab some free food. man, melb is full of cheapos like teoky. haha then the interesting thing is that they later watched a black & white movie. its those outdoor kind u know. not on the grass, its somewhere near the beach, those sandy places. unexpectedly, it started raining. so you know la, dungus like them didnt want to leave, thinking the rain will stop. and haha, it didnt! it got heavier. and with all the rain, in the sand, haha hahaha u know la. so teoky went back dirty like shit. then his mother saw his shoes through the webcam (the brand new Timberland shoes), she scolded him like mad haha. serves u right teoky.

ok la u guys wonder how i know so much of him. he calls me to tell me everything la. bah. so u ppl can call teoky at +614 3389 2918. and he will tell u lots more of interesting stuff. and yeah he got a roberto cavalli limited edition LG mobile phone. its so ...... and aijet has the same one too. i understand why aijet chose that, she has weird taste all the while. but teoky? now i know..
