Free Hugs, Anyone?

A video on YouTube was released on September 22, 2006, and by October 31, 2006, had gained 4,731,838 views. According to the video summary, it was recorded in Sydney. In the video, the main character who is giving out hugs, (identified as "Juan Mann", a pseudonym), walks through the Pitt Street Mall holding up a sign with the words FREE HUGS written on it. Music for the video is provided by Sick Puppies, an Australian band that "Mann" met a year earlier. Shimon Moore, the lead singer of the Sick Puppies who worked at the mall, shot the footage which he later compiled into a video for the song.

Initial distrust of Juan's motivations gives way to a gradual accretion of people willing to be hugged, with other huggers (male and female) helping distribute them. After some time, security guards, then police tell them they must stop, as Mann has not obtained public liability insurance for his actions Mann and his companions then began a petition which reached 10,000 signatures. At that point, the authorities walk away, but not before being hugged by some of the participants.

Wooh! ~~And less assignments than monash or melbourne dudes n dudettes~~ So anyways, while doing things yesterday, i ter-thought of this great marvellous wonderful exciting beautiful get-u-going-bonkers idea: Let's hav a class trip at the end of the year! WOW!? omg so exciting. Then we can maybe go Melaka for Satay Celup. Or Penang again for great food. Or Johor for nice otak otak. Or Klang for Bak Kut Teh. Or Kuching for the best food in the world (as claimed by Barney). KUCHING!! LEt's GO KUCHING! with Air Asia, everyone can fly! wooh...

Seriously. Let's plan.

i'm back!

wOw ppl im finally back from my trip to Italy! for those of you who didn't know, during my mid-sem hols, i went to Italy la, with darling schumi. after the disappointment in australia, he needed a break and all la. so he rang me up on monday morning the day after the race, to ask me about my plans during the hols. so i told him im very free after the OCF camp la. and he suggested that we go for a holiday in italy. wah i was so shocked! finally he's able to spend some time with me lol. so we planned this and that la through the phone. ish my phone bill is so so high this month :( anyway that pic was taken just before we left Rome Fiumicino Airport. wah look at all the kepoh reporters.. it was an awesome awesome awesomest holiday. why not, being able to spend time with him means everything in the world to me hehe. haha we went to Paradise Beach on the first day. well we didnt actually go there la. just went to the top of the hill. and what a beautiful view from there. u can see from the pic, the water is so clear. regretted that we didnt go down there

and the next day we went to this to see this 'building'. i forgotten the name of the building, argh remind me to ask schumi the name of it. this was one of the many many ancient monuments we visited la. it's just very ordinary to me, dont really appreciate these stuff. but schu was so fascinated by it somehow and he took thousands of pics there gosh
schu took this pic. im somewhere in the picture. can u spot me? im in red! nah i dont think u can see me la, its too small. haha just look at the weird structure enough la hehe oh yeah so on wednesday, we had to go to san marino. it was supposed to be on thursday though, but somehow jean todt rang him up and asked him to be there earlier. sigh we were supposed to go to this great restaurant on that day. but lor.. anyway i had a good time at san marino. getting to know the circuit and all. and i got to go 1 lap around the circuit in the Safety Car. woohoo it's only for VVIPs like me! the next few days were quite boring for me. all i did was watching the drivers going round and round practicing. got to see some high-speed accidents though. it's amazing how safe F1 is these days. qualifying was fantastic. it was so tight. and the race itself was better. ahh i'll just put the pics up la
overall, it's a tiring but super uber cool trip to italy! cant wait to go there again. in september probably, during the imola race :)

hei fellow m2-ians! so here i am, back to blogging business. in case u're wondering wat teoky is up to now, well he is quite settled in melb liao. it took him days to really adjust to the new environment. up to now, he's still quite homesick. calling me everyday to talk bout home (using up the 100 mins free call), he especially misses her sis so much i dunno why. so he calls me in the morning, when im about to take shower, in the afternoon, when im far far away in my lala land, in the evening, when im having my dinner. he calls me all the time, all day long. disturbing me only ish. then while i was chatting with him 1 day i remember him getting so excited when his parents called him hehe. and only yesterday he told me he regretted going to melb and not anu. hah now u know teoky. too late too late. zhou chi kam yat ho pit tong cho.

so he went for the orientation liao. he said its kinda boring. and he also joined the bushdance, in which they had a drinking game after that. they were divided into small groups. so of course, realising he's so blur, his members elected him as the head of the group. they call it the 'chief kap'. dunno what it means. anyway, the chief kap has to represent the group in the drinking game. the other members merely cheered him only. haha so the chief kaps of every group need to drink 1 shot every 30 secs. so our poor friend here said he suffered alot. the last thing he remembered was throwing a bottle full of beer into the drain. dunno whether he's really drunk or it's his kind of usual drunk la. anyway the next morning he's on the bed liao with his pants changed!!! thank goodness he's still wearing the same pants. then he said la got 2 guys (murphy & helped him to get back to his hostel. haha maybe girls also we dunno la.

and today he went for management and accounts intro class. he said he has a funny lecturer who keeps adjusting his necktie all the time, and spits his saliva alot when he talks. then he also had his International House (the place where he stays) orientation. so they ran around the city (yeah feel free to imagine him doing that) and dropped by at hungry jacks to grab some free food. man, melb is full of cheapos like teoky. haha then the interesting thing is that they later watched a black & white movie. its those outdoor kind u know. not on the grass, its somewhere near the beach, those sandy places. unexpectedly, it started raining. so you know la, dungus like them didnt want to leave, thinking the rain will stop. and haha, it didnt! it got heavier. and with all the rain, in the sand, haha hahaha u know la. so teoky went back dirty like shit. then his mother saw his shoes through the webcam (the brand new Timberland shoes), she scolded him like mad haha. serves u right teoky.

ok la u guys wonder how i know so much of him. he calls me to tell me everything la. bah. so u ppl can call teoky at +614 3389 2918. and he will tell u lots more of interesting stuff. and yeah he got a roberto cavalli limited edition LG mobile phone. its so ...... and aijet has the same one too. i understand why aijet chose that, she has weird taste all the while. but teoky? now i know..

ok.... so after many changes coz by some " unavoildable" circumtances... hehehe... now da date is 28th - 30 th of nov...

we are booking 1 apartment and there are around 18 fellows goin, including ms choo and euric... so da price is around RM 155 per person... but in case somebody may ffk at da last minute so u all pls bring RM 200 as standby...

ok.. so on 28th dat is the coming monday, the bus will wait at Sri KL at 7.30 in da morning... DUHHHHHH.... hehehehe.... the bus will leave at 8 if u all will be punctual, which i doubt... hahaha...

OK as Idiotic as it seems, i'm officially and idiot now. OK so here's me suggesting something totally crazy. Class trip. I asked u all to put on 25-27, and now i can't make it. Dumbo JPA changed the date for psychology course and decided that it shud be on the 25th. So well, here's a suggestion (Merely a suggestion, not a decision. k? majority still wins...or rather, if someone cannot make it for the new dates but can make it on 25-27, the class trip stays as 25-27. k?)

ok... i've jus call the bus driver and he say he will charge RM1800 for the bus rental. Not including his accomodation and makan. So it'll be like plus RM 300 for all da things. So it'll be around RM210o, that is like about RM123 per person for the bus rental. If we hav 17 people goin.

Dat's bout da transportation. For da apartment, i dunno how many units u all wan to rent as the number of people is not confirm yet. But it is around RM200 for 3 apartments per day. Cuz now is holiday period, so the price will go up slightly. So that'll be like RM 40 per person.

therefore the total will be around RM170 per person for 3 days 2 nites plus the bus fees. ok... now i need to know who's goin and who's not, and do u all agwee wif this price... and please confirm da date. now, it is 25th to 27th.

G'day i bid to all my fellow ex-classmates. Realise that SAM is officially over and that we've seen the last bit of M2 class of 2005. Well well, it's time for all of us to move on in life. Never again will we be sitting in the same class studyin liaoz. Never. Well, hope the past 10 months have been a great 10 months for each and every one of us. In this 10 months, i've managed to accomplish several things. Firstly ofcoz is to get to know everyone's names (well, you may say that's kinda easy rite) so yeah, that was prolly done during the first week.

Then came the getting to know people better part. Getting close to some people and later getting close to others. Well, throughout the year, i've seen my circle of friends changing a few times. Though we were all one class, we unknowingly grouped ourselves into groups. Various groups for various occassions. Well well, and bcoz of that, i got to know some people better than the others. So those of u whom i haven't gotten to really know you, maybe it's too late already. We're no more in M2. But it's never too late to keep the friendship going right. We're still friends, agwee?

And this year has really been a year of much joy n laughter. M2, you people rock to the max! You guys made college life so fun. At first i though college wasn't gonna be as fun as my form 5 class. Well, you people proved me wrong. We've gotten ourselves so united that we're basically one big family. And with crazy people like Aijet n Barney alwayz keeping the class alive, as well as quiter people like Mei Chia n Juliane, we've managed to help each other pull through SAM these 10 months.

So now, even as we prepare for finals, i wish everyone all the best and GAMBATE! work hard ya everyone (including myself). Now's not the time to slack anymore (talking especially to myself) seriously. For some, it's just the matter of how many A20s you gonna get. For some, it's a matter of make or break. So no matter wat your aim is, let's all work hard together ya. It's not the end results that matter, what's more important is that we give our very best into everything that we do so that in the end, whatever results that we get doesn't matter. It's the result of our hard work and giving our very best in whatever we do.

And after that, it's time to PARTAY!!! (Man, i'm so looking forward to partying man...can't wait for Nov 23 to come...) and it's time for all of us to go to uni. Some will be heading to Aussie, others staying in M'sia and ofcouse, maybe there are people going to some other places. Well, we may never ever get to meet together as a whole M2 again. Coz it's almost impossible to get everyone to attend the gatherings. Bah. Ok...maybe i've been talking too much. So i'll end here. All the best in life everyone!!

And last but not least, a shoutout to my dear M2:
You guys (and gals...) ROCK!!! Can't believe we made it through Self Abuse Matriculation together!!! YAY!!

bout the trip...not so sure whether if its a good idea... i mean..trip is something jus so normal... plus i dun think EVERYONE in our class would be able to make it ritE? of cuz trip is always an option on top of the booklet thingy... class trip is fun so it shud not be ruled out... but its a bit like tiring n time consuming n needs a lot of preparation n preplannings....

As the title suggests, i'm thinkin aloud.

After much brain thinks inside my head, i thought of this brilliant and wonderful yet splendid idea. Since we are going to have to part with each other end of this year (yes, we have to. It's not a choice, but more like an order), why not we make something to remember each other. So right, i'm thinkin rite...let's rite..make a little booklet rite...(well, it'll prolly not be a booklet but a book) containing our thought on each other or somethin liddat.

I'm thinkin rite..we could come up with something like our first impression of the people in our class, then how has hat changed over the months of crazyness together. Or something liddat...so everyone write bout everyone else in the class...then compile it, do a little bit of layout and everyone could have a copy of it. Then everyone could happily grow up and in future while telling storied to our great grand children, we can show them how much of a dork our classmates were...ahahah...jokin ofcoz...but u get the point...

And maybe we could have our contacts as well so we can contact each other in future....

Reading Hazel's post juz whipped up some emotions within me. not that i got angry of her or wat, it juz kinda brings me to 2 thoughts. The thought of having to leave SAM and the thought which brings me back to my form 5 graduation. Well, not that i wanna leave SAM, but what if i get sent to INDIA or AFGHAN (jet wants me there, hoo noes...she might be praying hard at home....that i get sent to india). What if i'm not allowed to stay in SAM and i hav to do A levels in UiTM? haih....leave all these in God's hands lah. But M2, u're a bunch of great guys (& gals ofcoz).

And even if i do get to stay in SAM, it's oledi June. The next half of the year (or shud i say, the next 5 months we're together studyin in the same class) will pass really quickly. Trust me. Before you know it, we'll all be sitting for our finals and in no time at all, we're parting. That's one thing all of us cannot avoid. What to do? treasure our time together lor. Haih...life's cruel at times rite. Bring ppl together and seperate them after some time.

I remember during my form 5, around this time last yr, i wuz oso thinkin bout graduation liaoz. i wuz thinkin of having to part wif my frens. You noe, the guy hoo sat nex to me for 3 years? the gals hoo sat behind me for 3 years? I hav to part with them? that's too cruel man...but what can i do? NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. I didn't really take the time to treasure the people around me that time. Everything wuz like....go to school, meet up with everyone, chat our day away and say bye at the end of the day. Well, of course when graduation came, it's a really tough time for most of us in the class. Being together for 2 years, studyin under the same roof for 2 whole years. Having to say bye? that's too much to ask for....

Well, nothing much i can say now. Juz realise this: it's a mere 5 months we're together. After that we'll all be heading diff ways. Some to Aussie, some to INDIA or AFGHAN (i hope not), some to diff parts of m'sia, some to NZ, some to Inkland, some to God noes where. 5 months is all we have. I remember at the beginning of the year, some ppl went on a testi writing spree on friendster. Most said they hope to get to noe the person betta and hav great times together. If you haven't been doing that, you have 5 months.A really short period of time but u can make it the best 5 months of SAM. With the pressure building up for finals, do take time out to appreciate your friends. Coz you only hav 5 months. After that, u'll never noe if u get to meet the person ever again. 5 months....

Orite, before i end, i wanna say something that i tink is totally true. My classmate told me this last yr. She said, it's impossible to remember everyone that we meet in life. That includes me and you. Our brains have limited brain space. The amount of people that we can remember is also limited. So if in future we meet and i forget hoo u r, plz forgive me, not that i wanna forget you, juz that i don't hav the capacity to remember everyone i come into contact with. I won't kill you if u forget me too. Juz reintroduce ourselves, n get on with life.

okie..starting from the time i entered the class..i tell you i thought my whole life was over,that i'm gonna die in SAM and be a total nerd! *hEhe don't kill me* u guys were so quiet! only jet was goin all HI!! hAha,how else did u want me to think! and my friends were telling me how they all went around introing to one another! wOah..i tell you,i was like +_+ !!! and every question asked in the class was like..*intelligent intelligent* or cried out *i am the next bill gates,worse come to worse i don't mind being just the president* =P

hEe..anyway..after some time,things spiced up! and u all ARE chatty! then julianne starts rApping! and fUuyOh,my perspective changed =P hAha,adding our very own purple dinosaur,M2 already had sugar and spice! but there were still the quiet bunch always at the far side of the class...! but sOon got to talk to them,hEe i found out choon luan was such a nice person to talk to! she's really really nice n frenly! n i was borned on the same day with peisem!! hEe! =P thank god she's nice so we can nicely claim that all 26th Aug babies are nice and bubbly ppl! *cheers to all august babies!!* hEe =P jjk jjk~but we are nice rights =)) hEe..oO oO then there's my beloved pohyEe all totally purely NICE! always all out to help and veryvery nice person! my yumcha and kengkai partner also! overall,a total bAbe!! =) n after accounts,i managed to go shopping with chon ling! *cools* very nice to sit beside her also,shes like my mother only,hEe..scoldin me when i do funny things =P but nice godly person to be with! =)

Afrter that we went n boought choo n soh's brooch!it is so nice ok we shortlisted a few me n lich but then all the things we like seem to be the ahahmost ex one sigh..money!!hahah then we got 20%discount u know so we bought the things cheap real cheap but so berquality..i n lich cant decidae which brooch to get for Mrs soh so got kah meng to try it n see hahah ok well he choose la at last n we bought that aiyo i cant make decisions la ..we got a nice one for her !!he man i also want ...u know then we got a paiir of earring n necklace for miss choo to replace her old big gold one ahahaha we bought simple patterns cause u know her dress already so fali fa lok liao!we din bought those for mrs lim cause her dresses always so many flower here flower there if she dunno how to match the jewlerry then mati la...ok now the part is u know what is the brand of our jewlerry a not-----KENJI n DENNI u know!!!at first i thought like wat brand is tatthen i bought one for my aunt n she was like wah kenji ar!!!u think u very rich ar!!oh ya kah meng lich!u know i jus realised the box there got a small manual on the brooch sumore n how they make their brooch man!!wah!!so worth it!!

Then the funny part is we dun haave money to pay!!haha we paid for soh n choo's n we three practically emptied our pocket !!then i went toATM to draw money n go bak to buy my aunt's brooch!1one day i take n wear hahahaha wah really po kai!!

After that we went n wrap the pressie then the wrapping papers there were so ugly!so after wrap liao lich kah meng went n collect while i paying the brooch for my aunt n they forgot to pay!!so i n lich was like aiya since we already no money n the wrapping paper so ugly then no need la hrhehhee then we went off...okok thats a bad moe ok cause we paid for the consequences ehehehe read on!!

we went n got mrs, lim the chinese bag which is on 50% discount it is so nice i also dfeel like having it!!the lady there was so surprised we made our decision so fast!n when she got to know we bought it for a teacher she was like wahhhhh lei ge lou shu song lo!!cause u know it is YiN n YANG ok!!i also feel like having it liao sighhhh so as usual kah meng n lich the meticulous ppl checj out the engravements n zip to get the best

WEll we finished by 7 20 ,20 min behind target that is bcoz we went n find the ATM machine!hehe then we went n enjoy dinner at TEPANYAKI..our legs by that time were lke gone liao!heheheheheh next after eating lich myum arrive out side liao then quickly ran out that is when the interesting thing happen!!i reallised that lich wasnt holding her file!!1oh no she left it sumwhere!!so we ran bak to all our previous stops to find it...so we had to go bak to thee lich th wrapping present area n ask them...oh no!!!the indian lady was like asking the malay lady...inikan belum bayar tadi???so lich n kah meng so pandai act blur wherelse stupid me like gave lich the oh no they know it look!!so terbongkar have to pay liao!!aqiyo sorry la i jus cant stop laughing !!well we concluded that God wants us to learn a lesson that no pay no home--derived from kah meng!well we paid then we search for a while n lich like die ide lo but then at ast we found it at bata!!wanted to buy mr lee shoe at firsthahaha so we said if we din pay for the wrapping thingy sure wont get bak lich's file

remember lich mum already waiting outside for so long!! we ran out n cant find them!1the same at parkson grand in front of mosque n near traffic light but still cant see then!!then lich n all o fus went under the lion head n told her mum we r under the lion head then only realised herkah m mum is actually at SUBANG PARADE!!!!hahahaahhaha aiiyo!!!well we waited n drank a few thinyg while laughing over everything that time i could feel my socks tearing apart liao!eheehh

well at one point i was telling lich n kah meng actually y we spend so much on the teachers since we like pay them u know!not gov!!but then kah meng gave a good point that we din pay teacher to eat dinner n sell bread for us!!so in all i also thought about it b4 i slept ...to those of us from outstation like me i really do appreciate the teachers cause without my family here they r really acting n supporting me jus like a family keeping me company n talking n motivating me...so they r real nice ppl that needs to be appreciated!1they really made my stay in taylors so great n nice!

After all these everyonr bring RM 11 on monday for the pressie!!dont complain ya!!where can u get a valentino shirt for Rm 2 like that for yr teacher ar or a platinum brooch or a yin n yang bag or a diamond set or a nice big red cushey??huh where?/

Shopping trip 1

hey our pyramid trip was so fun!!!well it was fun for me n lich,dunno kah meng how he like a bit stunted n u know girls shopping he also like quiet as usual n once in a while thinking of mid year!!bah

anyway it was great june u should not have gone bak so early!!
well first we went around seeing things la then all also like although nice n good bargain but i still wanna keep in mind hahhaa...so lengah2 there n wasted time due to my undecisiveness..ut i think this is my most efficient trip getting all the things i need in one day muahhaha!!n then all super canggih one...ahhh now i understand the joy of giving!!well then the starter of spending was at memory lane...we bought the cards there june n lich pick it while i go out n get the machine on exhibition to massage my tired foot hahahaah...then pay that time ahem i m the one to fork out those cash..wah ceh hahaahha

next we went pass this yin n yang shop which is tradisional culture clothes n bag n we saw mrs lim in just everything htere!hhshshshs it is so her kind...so we keep in mind again..then saw some soft toys too then thought of buying one for miss prem...lich was like "miss prem like cute things one la u see the pics miss choo send to her i feel so disgusted she say cute cute"hahahah so funny so we wnet spotting for things that lich feel disgusted

Then june went bak......sob sob!!no la go la u!!hahaha joking!!then we went FOS to look for Mr lee shirt...we wanted to buy sth different n nice for him but then also sth to make him look taller ahhaah but the shirts there all like so big dun hav his size..well we managedd to find a few but then i din like the cuttting n workman ship so tak halus...well we still tried so chang chang chang our only male model came into action ahhah welcoming Wong Kah Meng hahhaha!!we really forced him to tried the check shirts n he just go la the fitting room while i n lich go main2 hehehe then he came out saying "oh no i look like a bankrupt i m not going to wear this!!"sknow o u of we go to Parkson Grand--ah we bought most of our things there

We went to the guys side where they were having discount for shirts!!Well i chose valentino n lich spotted a Valentino shirt!!red one for a reasonablre price!VAlentino u know!!F4 wear one%
then we got kah meng to try it he was happy!1me n lich realised he din complain like the previous one so he happily bought that ...kah meng look so good in it so i assume mr lee will look great in it!!

choon luan is admitted to hospital..SJMC!---dengue caught her...but good news is she sounds ok!
well to remind u guys she is alone here in kl..parents in brunei wheile uncles are here..well do call her n give her yr love n care.
